Nicole Kidman Misses Oscar Luncheon After Suffering Injury
Actress Nicole Kidman was absent from the annual Oscar nominees luncheon on Monday as she was reportedly recovering from an injury.
According to Variety, Kidman, who had been nominated for an Academy Award for her role in Being The Ricardos, didn’t show up to event at the Fairmont Century Plaza hotel yesterday as she’s recovering from a torn hamstring.
“Kidman is at home in Nashville under doctors’ orders, recovering from a torn hamstring. She was filming the upcoming Amazon series Expats in Los Angeles when the pre-existing injury flared up,” Variety reports.
The outlet added that the show is continuing to shoot this week, but will temporarily pause at some point while producers figure out when they can resume and if they need to film around Kidman until her return.
It’s currently unclear if Kidman’s injury will also prevent her from attending the Academy Awards on Sunday, March 27.
