The 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony was held on Sunday evening (February 27).

Among the night’s big winners was the globally acclaimed Netflix hit series Squid Game, which added three awards to its already impressive chest of accolades. Making the biggest impression in the film category was the coming-of-age drama CODA, which took home two of the possible six awards, fending off the likes of Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci.

76-year-old Hollywood icon Helen Mirren was also one of the most celebrated actresses of the evening, as she was presented with the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award from Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett. Boasting an acting career that spans almost six decades and starring in titles such as The Queen, Gosford Park and Hitchcock, Mirren credited her success to the mantra: “Be on time and don’t be an ass.”

Also gaining recognition for their acting prowess was Will Smith for King Richard, Jessica Chastain for The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Ariana DeBose for West Side Story, Troy Kotsur for CODA, Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-yeon for Squid Game, Jason Sudeikis for Ted Lasso, Jean Smart for Hacks, Kate Winslet for Mare of Easttown and Michael Keaton for Dopesick.

Winning big for their ensemble performances were the casts of Succession, Ted Lasso and CODA.
