William Jackson Harper Reacts To Petitions For Him To Play Superman
In a recent interview with, Jimmy Kimmel Live! William Jackson Harper reacted to fan petitions for the actor to star as DC’s first black Man of Steel on the big screen. Just Jared Report.
William said that, “It definitely blindsided me.” When talking about the fan petition. Jimmy Kimmel joked about the reason behind the fan casting being that Jackson’s, character on The Good Place wore glasses.
Adding to the comment from Kimmel, Jackson said, “I think so. That’s gotta be the only explanation,” said the actor.
The tweet about the casting got, “55,000 likes.” The actor was surprised to say.
A director is yet to be selected to work on the project but, J.J. Abrams is set to produce with Ta-Nehisi Coates writing the screenplay. Deadline reported. Coates has written for Marvel Comics previously, doing a series for Black Panther and Captain America.
