Travis Pastrana Hospitalized After Parachute Stunt Crash
Motorsports legend Travis Pastrana has been hospitalized after he crashed-landed into a park following a parachute stunt gone wrong.
The 38-year-old was performing a parachute jump from the top of a hotel in Downtown, Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Saturday, when he failed to open his parachute at the right time.
Video captured by an onlooker shows Pastrana opening his parachute very near to the ground, causing him to crash-land into a nearby park.
Now, in a statement to WSVN-TV, Pastrana publicist has said the stuntmen is recovering from surgery after suffering a broken pelvis in the crash, and he is expected to make a full recovery.
