Salma Hayek Nearly Died From Covid-19

Salma Hayek reveals she almost died after quarantining with Covid-19 for seven weeks.

In an interview with Variety, the actress said she was still recovering from the after affects of the illness. At one point she says she was even placed on oxygen.

“My doctor begged me to go to hospital because it was so bad.” She confessed to Variety. “I said, ‘no thank you. I’d rather die at home.’”

Hayek appears in the upcoming film ‘House of Gucci‘, directed by Ridley Scott. She plays the character of a clairvoyant who will later assist in planning the murder of Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver).

“It was easy. It was the perfect job to just get back into it. I had started doing Zooms at one point, but I could only do so many because I would get so tired.” She said.

Salma Hayek will first return to the big screen on June 23, with the release of ‘The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard‘.
