Ruby Rose Reveals She Was Hospitalised After Surgery Complications

Australian actress Ruby Rose has revealed that she was hospitalised following complications with a recent surgery.

In a tearful post to her Instagram story (@rubyrose), Rose said she had to wait hours to be admitted to an ER due to covid.

“I had to have a procedure, I had to have a surgery, but it was fine, the surgery went well. But then yesterday I had a few complications and I had to go to the emergency room,” explained Rose.

“By the time I thought ‘okay I absolutely have to go to the hospital’, we called an ambulance and it took hours to find a hospital that would be able to take me. Or anyone. They’d been rejecting people all night.”

Becoming visibly tearful Rose continued, “My case was quite serious. So, we stuck it out for a little bit longer and were lucky enough to get accepted by a hospital after a bit of a standoff.”

The 35-year-old went on to praise the front liners and emergency room staff saying, “Everyone was amazing. All the front liners were amazing.”

She ended her post with a plea to her fans to get vaccinated.

“Try to keep yourself safe. Try to keep everyone safe. Get vaccinated if you can. Please. It’s just… It doesn’t need to be this hard, you know, for everyone.”
