Pink has offered to pay the fine that Norway Women’s Beach Handball Team received for wearing shorts instead of bikini bottoms.

The team received a 1500 euros fine ($1,771) by the European Handball Federation (EHF) for “improper clothing” during a recent match at the European Beach Handball Championships.

The EHF ruled that the team’s decision to wear shorts like their male counterparts was not in accordance with the rules set out by the International Handball Federation (IHF).

In response to the ruling Pink posted a tweet on July 25 saying: “I’m VERY proud of the Norwegian female beach handball team FOR PROTESTING THE VERY SEXIST RULES ABOUT THEIR “uniform”.

“The European handball federation SHOULD BE FINED FOR SEXISM. Good on ya, ladies. I’ll be happy to pay your fines for you. Keep it up,” she added.

The Norwegian team later posted a thank you message to Pink on their Instagram saying: “Wow! Thank you so much for the support.”
