Owen Wilson Cast In Disney’s ‘Haunted Mansion’

Owen Wilson is the latest star to join the cast of Disney’s ‘Haunted Mansion‘.

The new film, based on a Disney World ride by the same name, already includes Tiffany Haddish and LaKeith Stanfield among it’s cast.

Other films based on Disney attractions include ‘Pirates of the Caribbean‘ and the recently released feature ‘Jungle Cruise‘, starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt. Scareltt Johansson was also pegged to make a new Disney film based on the ride, ‘Tower of Terror‘. The film’s future is now up in the air since Johansson filed a lawsuit against the studio over ‘Black Widow‘.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kate Dippold penned the script for the new feature, with Justin Simien attached as director.

Owen Wilson is currently riding a high on a wave of success since featuring opposite Tom Hiddleston in Marvel’s ‘Loki‘. He also recently appeared in Wes Anderson’s ‘The French Dispatch‘, due for cinematic release on October 22.

‘Haunted Mansion‘ begins production in Atlanta in October.
