New ‘Highlander’ Reboot To Star Henry Cavill
Henry Cavill has expressed excitement after it was announced he will be starring in Lionsgate‘s Highlander reboot.
The actor took to his Instagram this week to express that he has “been a fan of Highlander since I was lad.”
“Being not shy with swords, and having a director as talented as Chad Stahelski at the helm, this is an opportunity like no other.”

Cavill plays sword-wielding monster-hunter Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher series, which is perhaps why he expresses confidence using a sword.
The actor posted a second picture of “baseline research” he is doing for the role.
As Cavill has roots in Scotland, he called the research “dipping into some of my Scottish heritage”.
His role has been kept under wraps, as has the release date for the highly anticipated film.
