‘Police Academy’ Actress Marion Ramsey Has Died At 73

Marion Ramsey has died at her home in Los Angeles.

The 73-year-old Police Academy actress, who played Officer Laverne Hooks, has passed away.

Her management team confirmed the saddening news to Deadline, saying she was “ill in recent days,” however, her a cause of death has not been confirmed.

She achieved huge success in her Broadway show Eubie in 1973, as well as appearing in all six series of Police Academy, including reprising her role for the animated series Robot Chicken.
