Lorde Makes Social Media Return Encouraging New Zealand Fans To Vote

Lorde is encouraging supporters to vote in the upcoming New Zealand election.
The 23-year-old singer has resurfaced on social media to speak directly on Instagram Stories to engage with her fanbase.
It has been over a year since she properly used social media, but as well as asking those aged over 18 to vote in New Zealand, she has hinted a return with new music.
She wrote, “Hey. Are you from New Zealand? I am. If you’re 18+, it’s time to VOTE! We know we live in a special place. And adding all of our voices to the conversation, speaking up for communities or organisations that mean something to us – that’s what helps keep it that way.
This was honestly incredibly difficult to format and I hope you can repay me with the humble act of VOTING. Do it for our beautiful country and for me. And next year I’ll give you something in return. You got that? Yeah? Ok cool. Of course I make a motherf***** typo in my first story in forever. No I’m not fixing it. Sue!!!”
Did you read the more exciting part? Let us quote that again for you, “Next year I’ll give you something in return,” – new music! It has been rumoured for some time that Lorde is working on a new album that was due to release this year but due to the seemingly never-ending COVID-19 pandemic the release has been delayed.
