Nominees for the 33rd annual GLAAD Media Awards have been revealed, and plenty of big hitters have made the list.

The hugely popular Dickinson, produced by Apple TV+, has received a nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Featuring Hailee Steinfeld, the series is set in the Emily Dickinson era as the budding writer grapples with being heard while simultaneously being in love with her best friend, Sue.

Netflix’s Sex Education, ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy (Outstanding Drama Series), The Sex Lives of College Girls (Outstanding New TV Series), and Yellowjackets (Outstanding New TV Series) are also among the nominations for standout television shows across 2021.

Off-screen, it has been an equally big year for queer musicians.

Lil Nas X has dominated the scene across the last two years and sees himself recognised as an Outstanding Music Artist; joined by the likes of Demi Lovato, Halsey, and BROCKHAMPTON to name a few.

Arlo Parks leads the way for the Breakthrough Music Artists nominees thanks to hugely popular debut album Collapsed in Sunbeams. Japanese Breakfast, Joy Oladokun, and girl in red are also among those tipped for the award.
