Twitter co-founder and CEO, Jack Dorsey, has apologised after his social media platform went down.

Recently, Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram and now Twitter seem to have suffered a series of outages with users reporting complete lack of usage for “endless-hours,”

Twitter went down for around 45 minutes, with the inability to scroll and refresh the main timeline, nor being able to upload new content as multiple errors appearing.

Once Twitter was fixed, Jack tweeted, “We were down…and now slowly coming back up. Sorry! Grateful for our operations and engineering teams for getting us flying again.”

Thousands of users were using the hashtag #TwitterDown, and once Jack shared his apology and a brief explanation, it sent users into a frenzy, with one saying, “Wow, Twitter really played us today.” with another adding, “I had no idea what to do while waiting for it to come back.”

Other began marking themselves as “safe” claiming “I survived #TwitterDown,”
