Idris Elba To Voice Knuckles In ‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ Sequel

Idris Elba will be the voice of Knuckles in the Sonic The Hedgehog sequel.
Elba announced his casting over Twitter and Instagram with the caption: “Knock, knock…”
Knuckles is an iconic character from the video game franchise. Originally an antagonist, the character morphed into a protagonist after developing a friendship with titular hero, Sonic. Whether Elba’s iteration will be friend or foe is yet to be revealed.
James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Shemar Moore and Jim Carrey have already been cast in the new film.

Jeff Fowler, the director of the first installment, returns to direct the sequel. Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, Toru Nakahara and Histoshi Okuno will produce.
Idris Elba is scheduled to appear in the upcoming fantasy romance film, Three Thousand Years of Longing, directed by George Miller. He is currently filming for Baltasar Kormakur’s new thriller, Beast.
