Hayley Atwell To Voice Lara Croft In Netflix’s Anime ‘Tomb Raider’ Series

Hayley Atwell is to provide the voice of Lara Croft in Netflix’s new anime ‘Tomb Raider‘ series.

According to Deadline, the new show will be based on the video game by Square Enix – from which several other adaptations have stemmed.

The new series follows Lara Croft, 25 years after the events of the first game, as she explores new territory.

The franchise has so far received three live-action adaptations – the most recent of which was 2018’s ‘Tomb Raider‘, starring Alicia Vikander. The 32-year-old actress will reprise her iteration of the heroine in an upcoming sequel, ‘Tomb Raider: Obsidian‘.

Two other live-action features were made in 2001 and 2003, starring Angelina Jolie.

Hayley Atwell is best known for playing Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her last appearance in the role was in ‘Avengers: Endgame‘. She currently working on the seventh installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise.
