Sharing an image of the full cast on Twitter, Gunn announced that shooting had begun.

Among the castmates pictures were Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, and Pom Klementieff, along with new addition, Will Poulter.
Gunn is currently celebrating the success of his first foray into the DC Extended Universe. He joined the rival comic book franchise after Disney fired him from Guardians of the Galaxy 3 in 2018. The studio later reversed its decision but production was by then delayed as Gunn began work on The Suicide Squad.
Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is scheduled for release on May 5, 2023.
