It was thought that Novak Djokovic would initially miss out on the French Open, but now he could end up competing after all.

French sports minister Roxana Maracineanu had previously confirmed that all athletes would need to be vaccinated in order to compete.

But as Covid cases begin to fall, France are on their way to removing mandatory vaccination passports.

Officials say the mandate will be lifted on March 14, with the French Open set for May.

Djokovic had previously said he was willing to sacrifice trophies over his unvaccinated stance.

However, it now looks like the French Open won’t be on the list of those he may miss out on.
