Ex-NFL running back Clinton Portis has been sentenced to six months in prison after pleading guilty to fraud.

According to TMZ, Portis, who plead guilty back in September for his role in healthcare fraud scheme involving retired football players, has been sentenced to 6 months in prison and 3 years probation.

Portis admitted that he had received around $100,000 by filling false medical claims for equipment that was never provided.

On Instagram after his sentencing, Portis thanked his legal team, the international law firm of Baker Botts LLP, for working tirelessly to prove his innocence.
