Former Miami Dolphins head coach, Brian Flores, has claimed that he was offered millions to stay silent following his dismissal from the NFL club.

Flores is suing the NFL, and three teams over alleged racist hiring policies.

He told HBO Real Sports’ Bryant Gumbel that he opted against signing an NDA after he was fired in January.

“I think just signing that separation agreement would have really silenced me,” said Flores.

His attorneys, who joined him in his interview, said Flores left ‘millions of dollars’ on the table by not signing the agreement.

The Dolphins, however, have denied that he was asked to sign an NDA following his dismissal.

In a statement to CNN, they said: “The latest assertion by Brian Flores that Steve Ross (team owner) mentioned an NDA to him is categorically false.”

“This just did not happen, and we simply cannot understand why Brian continues this pattern of making unfounded statements that he knows are untrue.”

They add: “We are fully cooperating with the NFL investigation and look forward to all of the facts coming out which we are confident will prove that his claims are false and defamatory.”

The statement was swiftly responded to by Flores’ attorneys, providing screenshots of the NDA.

“If Brian Flores had signed this, he would have been gagged and unable to talk about his experience,” Wigdor Law wrote.

Flores has since been hired by the Pittsburgh Steelers as a senior defensive assistant under head coach Mike Tomlin as the investigation into his dismissal continues.
