US Open winner, Emma Raducanu, has been forced to withdraw from the Guadalajara Open due to an injury.
The 19-year-old’s 3 hour, 36 minute match up with Australia’s Daria Saville came to a close in the final set when Raducanu was forced to retire.
For Saville, it was her first WTA main draw win since the 2021 Australian Open.
WTA insider confirmed that Raducanu’s tournament was cut short due to a left hip injury.

The lengthy match up took its toll as Raducanu returned to the court with her upper leg taped up, but she was ultimately unable to continue.
The result marks another disappointment for the world no. 12, who struggled earlier in the year due to a hand blister at the Australian Open.
