The accused are facing eight to twenty-five years in jail for inadequate care and the premeditated murder of football legend Diego Maradona.

Since the icon’s death in November 2020, which left Argentina in nationwide mourning, Maradona’s family has tirelessly demanded justice for their loss.

Two of the late football stars daughters filed a legal complaint against Maradona’s neurosurgeon, Leopoldo Luque, after his health declined following the removal of a blood clot.

The medical board investigation have found that “signs of life risk” were ignored.
