Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott Fined $25,000

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has been fined $25,000 by the NFL for his postgame comments related to fans throwing trash at game officials.
In a postgame interview after the Cowboys 23-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Prescott stood by angry fans who were seen throwing trash at officials as they headed off the pitch.
“Credit to them,” he said.
The stars comments where immediately met with criticism, forcing him to issue an apology just days after the game.
“I deeply regret the comments I made regarding the officials after the game on Sunday. I was caught up in the emotion of a disappointing loss and my words were uncalled for and unfair,” Prescott said, on Twitter.
