‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ Rapper Coolio Dead At 59

Coolio has died on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
The rapper, real name Artis Leon Ivey Jr., was aged 59 when he passed away of a suspected heart attack in a friends bathroom, his manager told TMZ.com.
Coolio is said to have gone to use the bathroom and after he failed to return after some time, his friend found him laying on the floor. Emergency services arrived and pronounced Coolio dead at the scene.
A death investigation has been opened by law enforcement who say at the moment there does not appear to be any signs of foul play. They also confirm that no drugs were found at the scene with an autopsy and toxicology test being conducted in due course to clarify the cause of death. According to law enforcement, paramedics were called to attend a property in LA around 4pm on Wednesday, Sep. 27 with reports of a medical emergency.
Despite his song, Gangsta’s Paradise becoming a huge hit for the rapper, he also had Fantastic Voyage hitting number three on the Billboard’s Hot 100 in 1994 along with other tracks including It’s All the Way Live (Now) and 1,2,3,4 (Sumpin New).
