Cardi B Deletes Her Twitter And Instagram Accounts

Cardi B has deleted her Twitter and Instagram accounts after arguing with fans over the 2022 Grammy Awards.
In a series of since-deleted tweets shared by Billboard, the 29-year-old rapper called out followers who she said were insulting her children over her decision not to attend the Grammys.
“I’m deleting my Twitter but On God I hate this f**kin dumba** fan base,” she wrote on Sunday. “You got the slow dumb****s dragging my kids all cause y’all thought I was going to be at the Grammys and I didn’t? The f***?”
“When the f*** I hinted I was going?” she questioned shortly before deleting her account. “Just f***in stupid. I can’t. I need to protect myself.”
In earlier tweets, Cardi pointed out that none of her recent posts were in Las Vegas (where the 2022 Grammys were being held) and dismissed the suggestion that she’d led fans to believe she would attend the awards.
“Where and when did I ever gave hints?” she said in another tweet. “Like are you ok? I’m not going to a award if I don’t got a new song to perform Or my album ain’t out… Next year.”
Cardi came under further fire after lashing out at a user who suggested one of her children was autistic. Responding to backlash over her strong language and accusations that she was insulting autistic people, Cardi said: “I never said there was nothing wrong with people who have [autism], but don’t put that on my f**king kid.”
The I Like It singer previously deactivated her Twitter account in March 2021 and October 2020.
