Avicii Arena: Stockholm Venue Renamed To Honour Late DJ

Avicii, otherwise known as Tim Bergling, has iconic Ericsson Globe renamed in his honour. 

The previously named Ericsson Globe venue has a capacity of 15,000.

Avicii sadly passed away in 2018 at the age of 28, and since then the Tim Bergling Foundation started as a charity for suicide prevention and mental health awareness.

“It has been three years since he left us, far too young”, says Avicii’s Father, Klas Bergling,”he would be extremely proud that this iconic building from today will bear his name.”

Klas Bergling references one of his son’s hit songs, saying,”it is only together that we can find the strength to make a difference, for a better day.”
