Alexander Zverev Kicked Out Of Mexican Open For Striking Umpire’s Chair

Germany’s Alexander Zverev has been removed from the Mexican Open for “unsportsmanlike conduct” after repeatedly striking the umpire’s chair with his racket.
Zverev lost his cool after he and Marcelo Melo lost 6-2 4-6 10-6 to Lloyd Glasspool and Harri Heliovaara in the doubles Round of 16.
The world no.3 was unhappy with the officiating of the match, repeatedly arguing with the umpire’s decisions.
After shaking hands with his opponents across the net, Zverev’s displeasure ultimately came to a head – aggressively beating the umpire’s chair three times with his racket, almost making contact with the official’s leg.
