The New York coroner’s office has ruled that The Wire actor Michael K. Williams died from accidental overdose.

Williams was found dead in his New York apartment earlier this month at the age of 54.

According to the coroner’s office, the actor’s official cause of death was a result of ‘acute intoxication by the combined effects of fentanyl, heroin and cocaine.’

Fentanyl is known to be a very powerful synthetic opioid that can be deadly, when combined with other substances.

The opioid has claimed the lives of many celebrities including Lil Peep, Mac Miller and Prince.

The New York Police department will also now reportedly be investigating Williams death in hopes to find the dealer who supplied him the drugs.

Williams was best known for his role as Omar in HBO series The Wire. He also starred in TV series Boardwalk Empire from 2010 to 2014.

Rest In Peace, Michael.
